The Carroll Gallery is dedicated to exhibitions that will enhance the educational mission of the Studio and Art History programs. Exhibitions of faculty and student artwork as well as exhibitions that relate to the Newcomb Art Department's fine arts curriculum become a center and a catalyst for student and faculty activities and interaction. Art Department faculty and students are encouraged to utilize the gallery by submitting proposals to curate exhibitions that also relate to and enhance the curriculum.

Each year, the Carroll Gallery presents exhibitions by the Master of Fine Arts students, the Bachelor of Fine Arts Students, and the Bachelor of Arts students. Every other year, an exhibition of the Art Studio Faculty is presented. Additionally, the Gallery organizes and presents one or two exhibitions each year that feature the work of other contemporary artists. The Carroll Gallery sponsors the annual Undergraduate Juried Exhibition and co-hosts the Holiday Sale Fundraiser.

The Carroll Gallery is located in the Woldenberg Art Center of the Newcomb Art Department at Tulane University. Also located in the Woldenberg Art Center is the Newcomb Art Museum, which has a year-round schedule of art exhibitions.

The Carroll Gallery is sponsored in part by the Emily Wilson Wolfson Fund.
